What's New?
v2.9
Summer 2022 Release Window
Taylor Howell
Bottom Line:
A lot of new features and performance improvements make War Manager feel much more like polished, software rather than a half-baked tool.

Stay Logged In
The next time you start War Manager, you won't need to type in a password. War Manager remembers which computer you logged in last time while keeping your password secure.

Session Reloading
When you close War Manager, it will remember which sheets you opened last time and will open them when you login next time.

Data Set Views
Different configurations of what the cards look like and what information is on them (called views) can be switched with ease. Want to view phone numbers on your employee cards? Easy. Don't want to see them? A couple clicks later, and they're gone.

Sheet Organization
Viewing your sheets to open in the references panel can feel pretty disorganized. To combat this, War Manager now organizes all sheets alphabetically. You can also pin your most important sheets to the top for easy access next time.

Polished UI
Many of the slide and pick menus have been tweaked, adjusted and refactored. Now finding pertinent information is not such a chore. War Manager feels much more polished and user friendly.

Macro Cards Debut (Beta)
Cards with pre-programmed macros (like finding duplicate cards in a sheet or getting the weather) are now starting to appear in War Manager. Users can either choose to use them in their sheets or not have those extra macros clogging their thinking.
Note: Ambitious feature - not fully fleshed out yet.

War Manager Data Intelligence Debut (Beta)
War Manager is now intelligently correcting information, for example - if War Manager finds a incorrectly formatted phone number, it will still present the phone number correctly.
Never Waste Time Reformatting Again
Note: Huge feature - not fully fleshed out yet.

Messaging with Twilio SMS (not MMS) (Pilot)
You can now text phone numbers from the War Manager Database. You can also text yourself information like job addresses and crew phone numbers.
Use Your Phone with War Manager
Note: Currently, War Manager cannot send images and other media formats - just text.
Currently this feature is being pilot tested. This feature may change significantly.

Performance
A lot of behind-the-scenes algorithms have been redesigned for a significant boost in performance.

Fun Fact
Over the last 2 years, War Manager has grown to over 280 scripts and roughly 60,000 lines of code. If printed out, War Manager code would take up about 2,000 pages of paper.
